GIG GUIDE - MAY 2019

Things are really ramping up for gigs this month – May is looking mighty fine! I’m sure you’ve already got your eyes on some shows. This guide aims to give you a flavour of what’s happening up and down the country. We can’t mention every gig but if you think we’ve forgotten something important, please let us know! We focus on the smaller underground shows but might throw in some bigger events if we feel like it.

GIG OF THE MONTH

We’re absolutely spoilt for choice this month - it’s been tricky to choose the gig of the month! But the ultimate winner has to be the BLACK TOR GATHERING on 4 May. This all-day event takes place up Tan Hill in North Yorkshire and is run by the organisers of the legendary Blackwood Gathering. The line up boasts the cream of UK black metal with CAÏNA, SATHAMEL, ABDUCTION, SHADOWFLAG and DEUS MORI. Folk metal from OAKENSHIELD, death metal from BLASPHEMER and DEVASTATOR will be bringing the thrash. They’re even flying in blackened death all the way from Italy - VOLTUMNA.
