Formed in 2009, Absinthropy are a black metal band from Leamington Spa, UK. They have drawn influnces from across the extreme metal spectrum as well as finding inspiration and depth within depressive rock. Fowler and White, the two full members of the band, cite The Cure and Joy Division as having a significant impact on their song writing and creative output. Their added obsession with extreme metal, in particular depressive black metal, has all been poured into the melting pot out of which the recognisable sound of Absinthropy ascends.
They have released 3 full length albums as well as an EP and numerous split releases. Absinthropy's most recent album, 2017's 'Vigilante's Doctrine' has led the band to a lengthy string of live shows where they continue to develop their performance and only add to the enormous power and absorbing mystique that they already possess.
Where bands such as Lifelover left off, enter Absinthropy. These guys are the real deal.
